The Essence of Christmas

This Christmas the gift of giving is much seen on us. And we are also prepairing for it. Lanterns hanged everywhre in the streets. Christmas trees displayed in our homes. Christmas parties and gift givings, but why do we do such things? We are dealing with these things because this is our way of celebarating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of our God Who created everything that exists. Carollings outside houses or stablishments are though seen. These days we often go praying in the “9 Simbang Gabi,” because some of us Filipino's believe that if we have completed these days, we are granted for a wish. There are such ways on how we share our blessings throughout the year.

Ussually, on this days that our country is suffering from many calamities such as earthquakes and many typhoons the gift of giving is much seen. As the typhoon Yolanda hit Visayas, many were devastated and they can't merely earn for their living. They are just depending on the donations coming from the government and some countries that lend their hands for the survivors. Many died, but stil we Filipino's always make sure that we are united. Some advertised some adds or sell some things for them to help. Even a street boy gladly donated two pesos he earned. Even it is just simple, this became as an encouragement for the survivors.

The essence of christmas is giving, without expecting any as return. May you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Equal Rights Equal Opportunities

OPEN YOUR EYES WIDE

Nowadays, discrimination, illegals, bullying, were experienced by many. It is so shame that some don’t really respect other’s rights. We do have a democratic country, where we, common people are considered as the primary source of political power. We have our own part in the election of the president for example. but some votes are being useless because of the corruption among those crocodiles who only wanted for their sake, using the money of our government workers.
In the hiring for jobs, there is something very common to us Filipino’s; it is “palakasan,” in Filipino. How can we have equal opportunities here in our country if in such a way there is always corruption, discrimination's on some? And those that ranked first in crimes are some policemen? Where they were should be our called protections into our rights and opportunities. Justice on court or everywhere can be sold. How can we reveal the truth if always we that are weak are just being stepped on by these corrupts, and we victims always fear at them for we can’t fight for the justice? Also on the children, their rights are being forsaken. There are child labours, kidnappings adultery, rape everything happens, where these children don’t even really have education which is one of their rights.

How can we resolve such discrimination's being in here? We can’t just be like dogs who follow orders. We have our own brains that think, see the truth by merely opening our eyes and do the right thing. Fight for everybody like one of the black leaders who just died; He fought for the rights of his own race. When can we be like him? When can we open our own eyes wide and see the truth behind those lies? What happened in Tacloban was an eye-opener to all of us. So think before everything we have now diminish in a second.

Going Global Through English Language

                                         Essential Guide

Nowadays, English is used as the primary language for everybody. In interacting with those who are not Filipino’s, we usually use English to deal with them. In our subjects, also English is now used, also on textbooks. But how is that?

Having a language that is being learned by all, such English and not only the language of the country he or she lives from is very essential to us. The language that is being used now by our teachers or professors is English even though it is not our native language; we pursue to learn about it. It is good to learn languages not only on our native language. We are being educated and learning other cultures but don’t forget what we really are.

It is good to have a language that gives us the opportunities there in abroad because usually one that is advised on those who are looking for jobs require the proficiency of the applicant in English. To us students we should really learn this language for us to be more successful in our careers. Even though almost all of our subjects use English as the primary language of them in teaching, we have also our subject Filipino where we can learn really also our called own and no one could ever take that away from us. Let that English language be our guide for our future preferences but do not forget what we have in our own land.

Climate Change
Look Closer

Earth is a very special planet. It has characteristics that only earth has, like its ability to sustain life. The temperature that keep us through. The Earth orbits the sun not too close but not too far like the Pluto which is not considered now as a planet. They say it is the “goldilocks zone,” where the conditions are just right for the living. But due to some unfavorable doings of some of us on earth many things on earth have changed.
One of these is the rising of the temperature of the earth due to those CO2 emitted by some vehicles, factories and many more. The ozone layer protects us from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun, and because of global warming and the so called greenhouse effect which is the thickening of the greenhouse gasses, this then damage the ozone layer making a hole on it. If these continue the cancer on the skin or some skin diseases might be get up by those who have not any protection for their skin.
The hunger from getting more to our nature should be stopped and continue making things that might be a replaceable for these matters. We should learn not t o cut more trees instead plant some replacements for those cut ones. We have so many things that can do in order to save what we have now; it is us who are not making a move. A simple move for the earth is great for everybody’s sake.

Second Period of the School Year

It is going to be the end of the Second Period of this school year. Many things happened… Last Thursday we had our Second Periodical test in the afternoon, last Friday should be the second day of our exam our Dear Principal had postponed this for the sake of us students because there is a typhoon..

This second grading, in our subject in ICT, we learned about HTML’s and how to make a HTML file. We learned also about the tags used in it. I’ve been so irresponsible these days, because I always forgot to do my duties and some other things I should have done. Like on our values, Sir Obrero had assigned me to collect the scores of our classmates but I’ve been carried away by my emotions when I shared some problems of mine in our family. When I’ve joined the choir again for the second time, I’ve missed so many quizzes but I tried not to miss or pass some of the activities we’re supposed to have when we are out.

Many things happened but I want to promise myself to be eager and try not  to miss any of those these next upcoming third grading period. This’ gonna be our last school year here in Ilocos Sur National High School. I should now be more responsible, and prepare for college.

My Teacher My Hero
“thanks”

Teachers do a lot of work , here in school. They sacrifice their time for their family, teaching students for them to learn. They tried to make sure that in every lesson they are discussing, their students understands it. Patient and hardworking, a lot of sacrifices.

It’s not easy for them. Some heroes died or have done something great or useful but, our teachers? There are no such other heroes here if it’s not because of them. Some other professionals, they did not become as that good enough if it’s not because of the teachings of our dear teachers.

A day to celebrate their greatness can’t be enough. Let’s just make October 5, a day to remember for them most and those days ahead may let them feel our love and care for them and how thankful we are having them. Thank you me teachers, for you became a part of my lone life.. Thanks for everything and the teachings… I’ll remember all those days we’re together… thanks! You are our called hearoes..

The Love of Nature
Our nature needs a hand. They should be cared of for it is where we live. God made the nature and the Earth to shelter us and get what we needed for us to survive. In our nature all what we needed was all here.
Some people don’t value the existence of our nature. They used to dump their garbage’s everywhere that usually  clog on those canals or water systems making the water rose up during calamities. Some just throw such cigarettes everywhere, those flammable materials might start up a fires. Smoke  from cars and factories pollutes the air that may lead to global warming, El Nino, greenhouse effect and worse is that  the widening of the hole on the ozone layer that traps the UV rays from the sun. If these happen, we’ll all suffer from skin cancer or any skin diseases.
So in our school, we just want to eliminate too much garbages, some clubs in the school collected plastic bottles, and the SSG brought back the “Paaralan ko Linis ko,” project. All Students have to pick up garbages and submit it infront of the school where some officers of the different clubs monitor on these. Those bottles were being recycled. In this Science Month celebration, the Science clubs got activities such as Kalikasan and the Trash’on Show which those contestants will use recycled materials for the costumes.

There is so much we can do. It’s just if you are willing to help our nature because always in the end we’ll always be the one who’ll be affected. Love our nature, care for it for the future generations to see.

My conqueror

There were many called heroes now in our community. It’s easy for us to call someone a hero because of the good things they have done. But why do we call them a hero?
In our country the Philippines, our Philippine National hero is Dr. Jose Rizal. We called him as our National Hero because he was the one who opened the eyes of our fellow countrymen to fight for our freedom to live and rule on our very own country. He used his skill in writing the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo to tell our fellows that our country is ours and he mentioned in his writings about the cruelty of the Spaniards that evade our country before. Even though he was executed at the Luneta Park this started the revolutionary to fight for our freedom. But it’s not always that someone has to die to save many or one.
In these days someone is called a hero if someone had invented something that helped many in their living. We also call the policemen as a hero for they save lives. They risk their lives to save and attain peace and order in our country. A fireman, who also save lives during fires etc. but can we consider our teacher and parents as our own heroes?
For me its yes. Teachers were the founders; there are no policemen or firemen etc., which save lives of people if it is not because of them. They are the one who taught these people to be good as what they are now. Our parents who gave life to us. We are not here if it’s not because of them and the will of God. When we are still young I can consider that our parents are our heroes. They had sacrificed a lot for us and there’s nothing that can be them. For they are our own heroes that helps, guides, and loves as us for who we are. They are our hero, they are my conqueror.

As Reflected

We have our ICT class at computer lab. 1. Our teacher was Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz. She was a good teacher for me. In our ICT class we learned about the timeline of the internet. Parts of the web browser, internet protocol, Metrics, though I do not really even memorize all of them. It was mentioned in our test but I don't answer even a single word on the enumeration of that metrics because I did not expect that that would be included in our test.
But maybe it's okay, on the next grading I'll be more active. This grading, I don't met any serious problems, only I haven't passed the daft of one I've written in our blog, cause our teacher had mentioned that she will not accept those late passed drafts. Even though I know that some of our classmates had tried to pass the draft, I refused to pass it cause there are some erasures and I've added some words and sentences in the blog I've made.
In some subjects it is a bit okay. In our AP, Sir Pescador told me that my project is missing, and I have to go to the SSG office to look for it. After our drill I went to the SSg office, there I saw my project without the name I've placed on the back of it, and the worst is that on the back of it is like a dump, I was laughing then. Sir Obrero told us that they've used my project for the picture-taking of the ALS. When Sir Pescador had accepted my project I was relieved.
For the next Gradings, I'll try to be more active and be more responsible in doing our projects, "No more cramping homeworks or projects."

SONA of Pinoy

In the State of the Nation Address of our President Benigno Aquino III, everyone were expecting much in his SONA, he mentioned all the projects he implemented under his administration under his four years of duty.

As for me, what he had done was not still enough for every Filipino's in our country. there are still rallyists that complains and were against on his administration. They say that they don't even feel anything that is changed on his four years of ruling the country.

Though, our President were still strong and continuing his good doings and his promise promise to have a, "Tuwid na Daan." Hope our country will have more jobs to offer, cause for now, many are poor because of the lack of jobs in the Philippines.Hope that it'll be the next one, who will be his next priority, and the irrigation system of the country.

"Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan"

Starvation was the most common problem of a family in our country, because they can't afford the some of their needs like food clothing and shelter. Rice were now high in cost. Sometimes these families do not eat three times a day, instead they only eat only once a day or sometimes they merely skip a meal.

High costs of commodities are their problems, and lack of job that suit their needs. Poverty is with starvation leading to malnutrition, and mostly children are the ones affected by this. In order to help, some schools have their "Feeding Programs," to help these malnourished kids.

Hope our government will take prior to this, poverty, so that there will no people who are starving and being malnourished, in or country. But sometimes those who afford buying their food, do not give value to this because sometimes they even throw this to the garbage not knowing that everything is important and should be given value, that everything should be eaten, cause most in the world don't even taste the luxury they are having. hope some people learn how to value everything.
